AVS-Europe is an international consultancy and brokerage firm with offices in France and Romania.

The foreign activities were started in 2005 by Johan van der Slikke, owner of the ‘vanderSlikkerentmeesters’ office in Ellemeet (Zld).

Initially, the foreign activities were part of the so-called estate agent’s office, but to obtain a valid license in France, the French brokerage ‘AVS France’ was established.

In 2012, Johan van der Slikke acquired the French real estate agency GPFA-Tours, including its employees.

The larger real estate agency AVS France-GPFA has since been mediating and advising on the purchase and sale of real estate throughout France.

Johan also successfully participated in the English real estate market. However, the rapidly rising land prices in the UK quickly made this activity less attractive.

Developments in Eastern Europe were different. Attractive land prices in Bulgaria, and especially Romania, prompted Johan van der Slikke to launch his own operation there under the name “AVS Rumania.” From its headquarters in Timisoara, Romanian real estate is marketed and managed by expert staff.

In 2016, Johan van der Slikke reorganized his entire organization, and the foreign branches in France and Romania became independent companies under his management.

As of January 1, 2020, the land management firms Van der Slikke and Van Hoven & Oomen have decided to merge.

The foreign branches in France and Romania will remain under the management of Johan van der Slikke and will continue together under the name AVS-Europe.
